Nature and sport lovers from all over Europe find Puerto Pollensa the ideal
area to practice sailing at the local sailing school,
those with more experience can charter a boat, scuba diving,
bicycle hire, trekking - the countryside and mountains
are not very far either, just a few minutes away by foot., golf,
bird watching, tennis, horse riding and much more!
Two days a week you can visit the local markets; Sundays in old town Pollença
and Wednesdays at Port de Pollença. You can also visit some of the multiple
cultural monuments around.
If you prefer relaxing places, there are some of local "calas" from our coast:
white water mixes with wild bottom, with wonderful sea life (Don't forget
your diving masks).
Big choice referring to night time. In Port de Pollença you'll find
lots of terraces where you can have a drink and a relaxing view, or, if you
prefer, you can go to the international recognised Pollença Music Festival.
Open air cafes and chatty bars provide a peaceful setting for an evening stroll.
The streets are full of fascinating shops mixed with several convenience stores
providing provisions for those taking a self catering holiday but should you
wish to eat out there is an abundance of very good restaurants close at hand.
The pretty pedestrianised 'Pine Walk' is typical and you will still see touches
of the original fishing village it once was. Sightsee the Roman Bridge and
the high 'Calvario'. Walk the mountainous coastline or countryside inland.
Sail, swim, snorkel, golf ... or do nothing but get a tan.
The port is a flourishing tourist area with restaurants and bars galore, along
with sailing schools, charter companies and every kind of nautical service
